What are the Virtual Drake Road Races?
The virtual Drake Road Races give everyone the opportunity to experience one of Iowa's oldest road races! Our virtual run consists of a 5k, 10k and Half Marathon option, just like our in-person races. Run or walk your favorite distance wherever you want. We will ship the race packet right to you!
What items are included with the Virtual Drake Road Races?
All participants will receive a Drake Road Races branded apparel item specific to your desired size, a one-of-a-kind finisher's medal and a race bib. Keep watching our newsletters and social media to be the first to see the reveal of the designs for the swag and medal! All participants will also have the opportunity to win prizes from sponsors during the event.
Where can I run/walk?
Anywhere and everywhere! This is your virtual run, and we want you to complete it wherever you want. You can run on sidewalks, trails, treadmill – make this your own run. Want to run with a stroller or your pet? Do it! We just ask that you use #MyDrakeRelays and tag @DrakeRelays and @DrakeRoadRaces so we can see your runs!
Do I need to submit results to get a medal?
Your finisher medal will be included in your packet, so you can wear it with pride when you're ready! Stay tuned for more information on how to upload, check out the leaderboard, and download a finisher's certificate.
How do I track my distance and time?
For the Virtual Race, we accept finish times on the honor system, but the most accurate tracking can be done with a GPS tracking app.
Can I still earn the Bulldog Double medal?
Yes, participants who register for and complete the Drake Road Races and Grand Blue will receive an exclusive Bulldog Double medal in addition to the apparel and medal from the Drake Road Races.
How do I submit my results online?
1. When the race timeline opens, a link will be provided to submit your results.
2. Search and select the name you want to submit results for
3. Click 'Submit Results'
4. Login to your EnMotive account, if you are not already
5. You will be redirected to the page to submit results or upload photos
6. Save!
